Head of Restaurant (m/w/d)

  • On-site
    • Munich, Bayern, Germany
  • Restaurant

You build the system behind IZA: Your role will help determine whether one successful restaurant becomes a scalable, commercially sustainable model for many locations.

Job description

Your Mission and Benefits

We know that hospitality can be demanding. That’s why we believe your time off should really count: We usually close between Christmas and the first few days of January – and you’ll also have your birthday off. You’ll also receive vouchers for things you can enjoy outside of work.

You take overall responsibility for restaurant operations: You oversee all IZA restaurants and ensure that every location runs smoothly, efficiently, cleanly and to consistent standards.

You build the system behind IZA: Together with the management team, you develop the processes, standards and structures that turn one strong restaurant into a scalable model for multiple locations.

You lead and develop our teams: You lead our Restaurant Managers and take responsibility for recruiting, workforce planning and training while building a strong leadership and development culture.

You shape the guest experience: You keep a close eye on quality, cleanliness, speed and guest communication and continuously improve our digital premium fast-casual concept.

You make data-driven decisions: Using Gastronovi, Nesto and clear KPIs, you improve revenue, staffing efficiency, productivity, food costs, food waste and guest satisfaction.

You create clear operating processes: From opening and closing procedures to inventory, ordering, hygiene and HACCP, you ensure that our standards are understood and followed at every location.

You drive new openings: You coordinate recruiting, training, soft openings and the first weeks of operation, turning lessons learned into a repeatable playbook for future locations.

Job requirements

What You Bring

Leadership experience in hospitality: You have managed larger operational teams, managers or several areas within a hospitality business and know how to stay on top of operations, even in demanding situations.

Strong process-building skills: You can design, document, train and implement processes across multiple restaurants – not just follow them.

A commercial mindset: You understand key metrics such as revenue, labour costs, food costs and productivity and can turn data into clear operational decisions.

A hands-on mentality: You do not lead from behind a desk. You are regularly present in our restaurants, identify operational issues early and step in wherever your support is needed.

High quality standards: You have a sharp eye for cleanliness, product quality, speed and guest communication and ensure that our standards are consistently maintained at every location.

Strong communication and leadership skills: You set clear priorities and expectations, make decisions and develop people. At the same time, you work respectfully, reliably and collaboratively with management, production and restaurant teams.

Team spirit: You are excited to join the IZA Gang, take ownership and help build a restaurant concept that can grow successfully across multiple locations.
